These bends are made from SMO 254, an alloy of Chromium and Nickel, with a blend of Molybdenum and Nitrogen and a very low Carbon content, making them specifically suitable for high halide and chloride containing environments. Our WNR 1.4547 SMO 10D Pipe Bends have good weldability and have excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, an issue usually countered by the hydraulic and instrumentation tubing systems.
Cost-effective, workable, weldable and machinable under various temperatures and procedures, our UNS S31254 SMO Long Radius Pipe Bends are very versatile to use for different applications and are age hardenable too, but by the cold working process.
